Welcome
to Paige II Charters. Captain Craig Paige specializes in fishing the
abundant waters of the lower Chesapeake Bay and inshore waters of the
Atlantic. Leaving from Lynnhaven Inlet in Virginia Beach it is always a
short ride to the fishing grounds. Whether fishing around the Chesapeake
Bay Bridge tunnel, the junction of the bay and Atlantic, or inshore wrecks
and other structure you will learn
HOW to fish, just not GO fishing. Captain Craig will teach you how to
become a successful angler by exposing you to the variables of tides,
structure, bait presentation, and water temperatures that all play into
the success of your trip. He will explain and show you how it’s
done. Captain
Craig has perfected live bait fishing for trophy flounder. Many weigh in
double digits and have taken the largest in species for the Virginia Salt
Water Fishing Tournament. In 2004, the winning flattie weighed 14 lb 4
oz; in 2006 the largest for the year weighed 13 lb 13 oz., and yet again
in 2007 the largest in state was landed from the Paige II and weighed
13 lb 7 oz.
The
Chesapeake Bay is a playground for many saltwater species providing all
season action for anglers. These include flounder, tautog, sheepshead,
striped bass, red and black drum, spadefish, cobia, and more. Striped
bass charters are available when in season and may include techniques of
light tackle casting around the CBBT, live bait eeling in November and
December, or trolling along the coast through January. Whether your
preference is to target trophy fish, catch your limit for a delicious
dinner, or just have a fun day on the water, Captain Craig will make your
day a memorable one. |
